I met what is one of my top favorite green products I’ve ever seen today. It’s useful, affordable and cool. Yes, cool laundry detergent. There, I said it. Introducing Method Laundry Detergent (At least introducing it to me .

I saw Method Laundry Detergent in the store for the first time today. It was noticeably smaller than the other containers, it had a pump dispenser, was extremely concentrated (8x more than other detergents), it was made from 95% plant material and the container is made from 50% recycled plastic.

It’s even got a colored ring on the bottom of the pump straw so you can line up that last pump of liquid cleansing goodness. Such thoughtful engineers.

As I was staring at this little miracle of a product, I thought…

A small container + super concentrated means more product per truck which = less fossil fuel to ship more product. Nice.

Pump dispenser = less mess. The floor will thank me.

Made from 95% plant material. I will almost be able to eat my organic cotton shirts after I wash them with Method. I said “almost”.

The container (and the pump) is made from 50% recycled plastic. Awesome.

How much is it you ask? About 32 cents a load or 8 bucks for the small size. There is a larger size, but I didn’t see that one. That one is $15 for 50 loads. A bit of a savings.
