Recycling Campaign
I rec’d this email and thought I’d pass it on to you all.
Dear Coordinator,
Help us save the landfills from the toxins of old or used ink and laser cartridges that are about to be thrown away. If these toxins leak into the ground, it could leak into our drinking water or into the air that we breathe.
Grassroots.org, a 501c3 nonprofit organization based out of Bethesda, Maryland, through an organization called Funding Factory, is collecting these items for recycling. Last year, more than 300 million cartridges were thrown away, while 30 million cell phones were tossed or replaced. In exchange for the returned cartridges, a donation is made to Grassroots.org on behalf of Funding Factory. Help us reduce the volume of waste that goes into landfills while collecting funds, allowing us to fulfill our mission. This allows us to continue outreach campaigns to the ailing, abused, sick, needy, homeless, hungry and to provide free Internet services to other nonprofit organizations. (For more information about our organization see http://www.grassroots.org/do/About.)
Please help us by setting aside your old and used ink/laser jet cartridges for collection. We would be happy to send a postage-paid container out to you. When it’s full, you mail it back to us through UPS at no cost to you.
Please email us at recycle@grassroots.org to request a collection container or if you have any questions about the program. You can also go to our Save our Landfills Campaign webpage (http://www.renewableresources.org/sp/Save+Our+Landfills) for more information.
Thank you for your time.
