Schwarzenegger Urges Global Warming Action

The Govinator, Mr. Arnold Schwarzenegger, has said that global warming exists and something needs to be done about it! He also said he is going to convert his fleet of Hummers into Biodiesel. He didn?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t go that far but it?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s a start.

Funny things happen when celebrities speak out. Sometimes they get shunned (Dixie Chicks), sometimes they get mocked (Tom Cruise) and sometimes they change things (Sally Struthers ?¢‚Ǩ‚Äú maybe Sally isn’t a good example here, but you get the point). And sometimes nothing at all.

Though I can?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t help but wonder about alternative motives, other than the world going to pot. Could it be possible that Arnold found out President Bush won?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t change the Constitution (Article. II., Section. 1., Clause 5) is his foreign-born favor and thereby has no chance of ever becoming President of the United States even though this is America and as children we are told you can be anything when you grow up? President Bush is a great example of this! Who would have thought he would have been anything more than the president of his fraternity or the hair club for men? But alas, he is too old and he is not balding?¢‚Ǩ¬¶or is he.

You just can?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t be sure what lurks in the mind or politicians who once played robots, excuse me - human cyborgs, on the big screen.

Here’s a bit of the article. Click to read it in its entirety.

LONDON - California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger is urging governments ?¢‚Ǩ‚Äù including that of President Bush ?¢‚Ǩ‚Äù to face up the reality of global warming.

“The debate is over,” he wrote in Britain’s Independent on Sunday newspaper. “We know the science. We see the threat posed by changes in our climate. And we know the time for action is now.”

Schwarzenegger, a Republican, did not mention Bush by name, but called on “governments everywhere” to join action to combat climate change. He contradicted Bush’s claims that taking action will damage the U.S. economy.
