Think Green Media’s Environmental Blog Getting Very Nice Results
The Think Green Media Blog is by far the best single marketing initiative I have executed for www.thinkgreenmedia.com. I’m really amazed at how well the blog comes up in search engine result pages (serp). I’ll get to that in a second.
I feel like I sometimes need to share with you the benefits of blogs on occasion here because I find myself talking to people who aren’t fans of blogs or think that blogs aren’t professional and/or are self-serving.
It’s true, blogs can be terrible and this is why. Anyone can blog. This creates a lot of good content and bad on the web. And sometimes the bad stands out more because there is so much of it. Blogs are like cell phones. You get to hear people’s internal conversations. Sometimes they are scary or worse, poorly written.
But have no doubt, blogs are great marketing tools. And about that bad content? Well, those site won’t keep readership. Do you go back to bad restuarants? Same thing applies here.
Now for some proof on the effectiveness of blogs! (OK, so blogs are a little self-serving.) Search for environmental blog and environmental blogs in Google. The Think Green Media Blog comes up on the first and third (got to work on that) pages respectively as of the date of this post.
Further proof that Google loves blogs. Loves them!
